One of my favorite quotes is "Enjoy the little things, because one day you'll look back and realize they were the big things" by Robert Brault.
We're all living in a world that never stops. Technology has made everything faster, more connected, and more demanding. It’s easy to feel like we're always racing toward the next goal, but in that rush, we risk missing the simple, beautiful moments that make life meaningful.
The "little things" are everywhere, and they are the moments that truly ground us. They could be:
That perfect song on the radio
A hug that feels just right
The sound of rain on the roof
Your pet's happy greeting at the door
The first sip of coffee in the morning
A really good hair day
The crackle of a fire on a cool evening
Watching a sunset paint the sky
The comfort of a freshly-washed bed
The sounds of your kid's laughter
These small joys are personal and powerful. They remind us to slow down, breathe, and appreciate the present moment. If I could go back and talk to my younger self, I would tell her to stop and pay attention to them. I strive to teach my own children this same lesson—because when they see me practicing gratitude, they learn to find the magic in their own lives, one little moment at a time.
What are the "little things" that make your heart and soul happy?
